JENNIFER ROCHE is a poet, writer, and text artist who lives in Chicago, Illinois. "20,", her chapbook of erasure poems from Jules Verne's 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea was published in 2020 by Alternating Current Press. Her second book, "The Synonym Tables," is forthcoming in 2021 from The Poetry Question.

 

Her poems have appeared in Storm Cellar; Tule Review; Footnote: A Literary Journal of History (#2); Oyez Review; Rain, Party & Disaster Society; and Ghost Ocean. She was named a “Writer to Watch in 2019 & Beyond” by the Chicago Guild Literary Complex and a 2016 Charter Oak Award Semifinalist for Best Historical writing.

Jennifer is also the founder of the "Ode to Fury Found Poetry Workshop," which she first held at the Chicago Public Library and offers for other organizations. She has studied with the Poetry School, the Chicago School of Poetics, and Fran Quinn. Jennifer is also a past participant in Found Poetry Journal's POMOSCO events and Found Poetry Frontiers.
